I wasn't happy with my entry, so I edited it a little and tightened up the syllable count, as I found it a bit bumpy when reading. I hope it's okay to alter it after entered.

The Pause

Heaven paused and held its breath,
the Warrior stood to draw his bow
and sighted on the certain death ;
Heaven paused and held its breath.
The arrow sails, the foe's bereft--
for what they've reaped, is what they've sown.
Heaven paused and held its breath,
the Warrior stood to draw his bow.

O' hearken now, these words of woe,
the prophets' words upon the land;
the Red Sea swallowed Pharoah, whole,
O' hearken now , these words of woe.
The passage 'twixt the waves did show
a narrow road upon dry sand--
O' hearken now, these words of woe,
the prophets' words upon the land .

Heaven paused, the time is nigh,
the Warrior felled the Prince of Air.
Glory to the God most high,
the passage 'twixt the waves was dry,
the Promised Land, beholden, fair.
Heaven paused, the time is nigh,
the Warrior felled the Prince of Air.

Red, Blue and White

When red symbolizes passion, anger, danger and fire
Blue signifies cool, wisdom, stability and serenity
One glows hot like war and desire
When red symbolizes passion, anger, danger and fire
It can cause chaos to confuse and conspire
Losing the purpose of identity and integrity
When red symbolizes passion, anger, danger and fire
Blue signifies cool, wisdom, stability and serenity

In the struggle to maintain a true and fair democracy
Some secretly connive to achieve more power
They spread lies to establish an autocracy
In the struggle to maintain a true and fair democracy
They spread a venom throughout the bureaucracy
Hoping that the masses will grovel and cower
In the struggle to maintain a true and fair democracy
Some secretly connive to get more power

In the search for healing, decency, unity and peace
The truth will come out and shine a light
Though some will not quit or won’t cease
In the search for healing, decency, unity and peace
For some their hatred becomes a disease
They’ll fight and not see the flag also has white
In the search for healing, decency, unity and peace
The truth will come out and shine a light

This was a tough one to judge and really the winner and two runners-up were as good as each other, so I went with javalini just because his entry gave me a chuckle. And I could relate to it as someone who hates deadlines

Thanks for all your entries tho, it's been a pleasure reading through them.
