Poem of the month ~ JUNE

poet Anonymous

"Truth"

if we could just
leave it
leave it
where it can do
no harm
leave it
in the minds
of all the fools
who keep finding it

but no...

we keep dressing
it up
wrapping
it in religion
science
politics
philosophy
mathematics
medicine

truth
is an advertisement

&
this truth
will keep you
healthy
happy
&
hateful

truth...

if we could
just
leave it be

leave it
where the kids
won't find it

if we could
leave it
somewhere secret

somewhere out
of harms
way

perhaps...

just over there

They Were Like Smoke

The ghosts were analog,
everything is digital.
Now It really is just the wind or
the old house settling.

Dead really is dead in
this new, old world.
