Haiku/Senryu New Year Wish🙏🏻

1
where e'er you may live
be  the  spirit  of  the  wind
for both weak & strong

2
take care of each one
who has touched your heart & soul
and has lifted you

3
free one from anguish
the year was grim for many
and one will free you

4
my simple wishes
like smooth pebbles on the shore
come and be the wave

5
take these pebbles for
creatures that run, fly and swim
they carry you too

6
for the plants and trees
and know that earth will thank you
with the air we breathe

7
both the rain that falls
and the snow on mountain peaks
be the clouds that guide

8
while the shadows pass
be  the  seagull's  lonely  cry
on the thunder's tide

9
to ride till coasting
o'er the monuments of time
of your life and mine

Self-Improvement

Instead of having New Year resolutions I have written goals,
A listing of twenty attainable things I want to achieve,
Sort of like a contract with myself, each with a specific date,
Because objectives on paper are presents I’ll come to receive.

It’s a blueprint, a map so I won’t get caught in the ticking trap,
As they say time is the most valuable asset I don’t get back,
It’s the chart to the near future and all of the possibilities,
Shaping a path, going forward so I won’t have any setbacks.

But it’s in within this plan that it is also important to note,
Being of service to others is also good for the soul,
So that maybe kindness and good deeds will influence others,
And something positive will come out out of each scripted goal.

It may be heuristic but I’m trying to be more optimistic,
Positivity is vital in the spirit of self-improvement,
It should go viral so it can maybe spread all around the globe,
And the voice of the people will influence world governments.

New year new me

New year New me
Let the fun begin
No minute whiskey
Let us be free
new year new me
The sunlight is shining
The air feels fresh
No more night sweats
new year new me
For way to long
The struggle was hard
It's taken a while
As I lay down my cards
I will be srong
New year new me
Let the fun begin

Into 2020

She is walking as if she is someone brand new,
But she never forgets the lessons that she has
Learned in the past years. “Paint your sky blue,”
People say, but when she paints it with topaz,

Indigo or purple, they think she is taking a big
Risk, but isn’t that what life is all about? As she
Takes the vast world and crushes it like a twig
Without any expectations she just wants to be

Who she always wanted to be, free-spirited and
Kind. She cannot make any predictions for 2020,
But realizes she does not need anyone’s hand
To be warm or secure in a world lacking plenty

Of warmth and security. The only obstacle that
Stands in her way is herself. She was tired of
Those people who would rather see her fall flat
And as she crawled through infestation, the love

Slowly crept back into her veins. The sunlight
Was back in her smile and in the way she shook
Off those who are not on her journey. Her bright
Demeanor is back. When the world does not look

At her is when she is at her best because they
Only stare and critique when she is at her worst.
What they do not know is that although she say
Very little, she still has a lot of hunger and thirst

For many things in life. What the world does not
Notice is I am her and 2020 is my redemption shot.

Unfinished Business in 2019

I took a step back to observe what’s around me,
I see postings of new year resolutions for 2020
Friends but not my friends talking about,
"I wanna be a better me"
When the hell did we leave 2019?
2020, I'm not even ready.
Am I the only one who feels that time has passed them by
With a pause on thoughts for the future life
have I no more dreams to follow
have I no desires,
no plans,
aspirations?
Of course I want to be a better me,
I've been trying all year.
Will this new year wash my slate clean,
Will it automatically wipe my utility bills from, I can't afford it, to zero dollars and zero cents?
Why are we so caught up in believing that a new year brings happiness
As soon as the clock strikes twelve?
Well I’m here, I made it to 2020, thank God.
Now I'm back to figuring out how to finish
My unfinished business of 2019.

2020 resolution. Hallway Talk.

Your hands are in your pockets.
hm?
Whatcha thinkin about?
been thinking about the new year lately...
Oh yeah?
  yeah...
What about it?
i don't know. i was told to make a resolution...something about helping with healthy coping...
That might be a good idea. It's been a...weird year for you.
  yeah...
Do something dumb and obvious. Quit smoking.
  ...I quit 7? years ago.
Oh yeah, right. Drinking?
  i'll be coming up on 9 months dry...don't think i can...you know...start over...
True. Um what are some other ones. Exercise? Lose weight? New diet.
i already do what i can with my neuropathy...and i already lost 35 pounds, i mean, they said i'd lose the 20 gained from the coma, hospital, whatever...but i'm suppose to tell them if i hit below 160...i'm getting...really close...
What happens at 160?
  didn't say...i should probably ask...
Well...you could quit drinking coffee? less sweets?
i quit drinking coffee during the summer, that weird sugar-tooth phase i went through is gone. i can't stand it anymore.
Floss?
  already do...
Daily?!
  yeah...
You really have gotten bored haven't you
  *shoulder shrug*
Save money?
what do you think i've been doing...
Be more on time
  jesus, i'm always early...
Hmm...Sounds to me like you've already gotten alot of things done...
  yeah i guess so...
Maybe some progress?
  uh sure?
Maybe a few positive things on the way?
  what are yo---
Maybe someone here isn't so dreary about life all the time anymore...
  did...
   did you....
did you just turn this into something positive?
     ...how do you do that...
*smiling*
You've rubbed off on me.
  ehh... you should rephrase that...
I noticed you haven't hurt yourself either
  ...
And didn't you say Christmas wasn't even THAT bad?
  ...
All i'm saying is to stop worrying about dumb stuff like that.
  *blank stare*
uh, yeah, I guess you're right.
I know. Now hurry up! We'll be late!
  wait. what? we?
  we were going somewhere?

Omgoshhhh. Thanks for this.

It took 8 years 6 months and 15 days....

but I finally hit 100 comp wins.

I’d thank Jesus if I believed in him, so I’d like to thank Baphomet, the man in Greggs that sponsored this trophy award with sausage rolls, the inventor of the bra for keeping my stray tits out of the way of the keyboard, the webmiss who is continually blue dabadeedabadye....and the people. Lots of people.

Never give up on your dreams. Peace out, fuckers. ✌🏻
