The temple of the mind

i
Our structured manifestation
Here first letter revelation
Such bears no sound,

A zero point all-expansion
Silent carrier of vibration
Purporting unbound,

ii
Atziluth wand of a King Yod Tejas noble
Yetzirah cup of a Queen He' Vayu to fly
Briah sword of a Knight Vau Apas global
Assiah coin of a Knave He' Prithivi abide,

iii
Material fruits among astral leaves
Falling from the archetypal stems
Formed from all spirited seeds,

iv
One fundamental point--in kind
Crosses each octave line--rhyme,

Across every fifth surface--mind
Into hither fourth volume--shine,

v
1/1 Kether in a supernal fire uni born
2/1 Tiferith as an ethical air dual reform
3/1 Yesod into an astral water triform
4/1 Malkuth each material earth reborn,

vi
The natural is but the dense aspect of the spiritual...

Yes I am Emotional

I am not strong...
according to your definition.
You even call me irrational,
an illogical beast
always needing a leash...
Well I am tired of your leash.
I am sick of acting cool,
Putting facts before heart.
Don't tell me to smile and say everything is okay,
When deep down I burn with grief.
"Hey!" I am sick of appearances.
When down, let me cry.
I only ask for your shoulders.
When happy, let me scream.
I only ask that you do not stop me.
When next I cross the line,
When next I do not conform,
When next I deviate,
When next I am myself.
I only ask that you
do not look down on me.

Good Day

Though I stayed home
With just music and the air on
It was a good day

Clear skies like I wanted
Birds coming and going
The afternoon breeze keeping the window open

My job isn't the best
And the wind may blow through my jacket
I don’t know my results yet
But the world's bad enough to be upset

I'm still learning about myself
Forgetting past mistakes
Accepting who I am
Taking exits before It's too late

I still have challenges to face
But plenty of good times to come
It may have been another day
But it was a good one

Now that the sun is leaving us
Shadows bring the night's start
Followed by Venus and more stars
On this beautiful evening so far
I can say
It was a good day

all my ink

i write
in the night
when shadows are sleeping
to keep
tears i weep
from silently creeping
out into the cold
though hardly consoled i
that darkness can bury
the burdens i carry

a poet
should know it
and yet keep a secret
when stunned
by the sun
to choke up and leak it
the old rugged cross
redeeming his losses
balms up the lost creature
who sees no bright future

i bleed
like a seed
sprung by a new morning
whose roots
upward shoot
earth’s tangled web scorning
i carry with me
the locks and the keyring
for hearts badly shaken
by confidence broken

no word
were absurd
that mends up the pieces
for hearts
torn apart
whose sorrows releases
i give all my ink
for those on the brink line
to them all my canvas
who hunger for solace

Find Yourself

Did you know, we are more than just flesh and bone?
We are also spiritual sentient beings,
We are in a voyage of the great unknown,
And finding wisdom, it can be very freeing.
But how do we find that what we do not know?
When we are vessels sailing in this odyssey,
Step one, create a map of where you want to go,
A timeline to assist you through this journey.
Step two, recognize that each of us is unique,
We’re all different and extraordinary,
Step three, find a new way of being so to speak,
Step four, ask what makes you happy and merry.
You have a purpose in this life, in this world,
Understand you have a power, that’s number five,
Little by little you’ll catch these wisdom pearls,
And if life is tough, be glad that you’re alive.
Six, don’t be negative or bad thoughts hinder you,
Seven, don’t be too critical, try this instead…
Eight, surround yourself with positive people who
Will lift you up and work to get you ahead.
But most importantly be of service to others,
There’s a sense of peace when you become selfless,
In the human race we are sisters and brothers,
Searching for a happiness that’s endless.
Breathe, find you center, listen to what’s inside,
The answers lie within you and no one else,
Your mind will reveal the truth after you have tried,
Be kind and you will be able to find yourself.

Trace

is there a trace left of you beneath
your idle conversation?  is there a pause
to this automatic drive or is it your last
mode of breath desperately gasping for
scraps of substance?
within the horizons of your timeline
did you ever stop to lay with silence
and tremble beneath its truth until
you prayed for a nightmare to free you?
have you isolated yourself within the frames
of a mirror and dissected its reflection
until you've forgotten where you end?
the lightest wind robs you of your stance,
the lightest kiss binds and blinds you.
did you ever hope for a better ending
than this false beginning?  your eyes
commit treason against your tongue
and let slip distress between the steps
of your vocal dance.  each new word
spells out your detachment.  what messiah
do you keep to save you from this?
is the final alarm just a whimpering prayer?
a short burst of ache from an otherwise
desensitized pose?  where will the next step,
the next word take you?  do you move
only to escape?  dream only to forget?
where have you been?
where are you going?
where are you now?

The Mouse And The Pea

(a Fable in the form of a Haibun)

Once upon a time but not too long ago, a little white mouse in fear of her life escaped from a laboratory.  Tired and bewildered, she found her way to a friendly-looking house and huddled under a stove... warm, but so lonely.  Later that evening, a pea rolled off the kitchen table where the family had eaten supper.  The mouse scuttled the little green orb and snuffled it with her quivery pink nose.  Oh she was very hungry, but she adored the pea's company, for it had come to her!  She curled up with the pea and fell fast asleep.  In the morning she awoke, full of hope, and saw that the pea had withered.  Staying close, she sighed and said gently, "I shall grow old with you".
