Open heart surgery

Smiles and a kind word. a hug that disarms
Wishings fairy footsteps did they play a part
The tinkling ripples of your dreams and hopes
When expectation outweighs the punches that life throws
Prostrate your emotions lay it all on the line
Togetherness signed and always be entwined
The candles have burned and a chill in the air
Wipe off the dust, was it shine or just a supreficial glare
No kind words like plasters can patch or repair
The tears you knitted and dropped in despair
An organ so damaged a pulse left so weak
The ruptured and battered a hurt thats so deep
Can you be the medic attend those so sick
Stitch back the trust and the love that it needs
And on your oath  go down on your Knees
Open the heart that you closed recently
Repair the trauma that someone else wrought
Defibrillate all the misuse that was caused
And be there forever for good and for worse
For care is a keystone and regard the nurse

Stop the Bleeding

You hold my heart so delicately in your
Awaiting hands, promising to never hurt
Me. Who knew that opening the door
Would lead me straight to you. The dirt
Particles disintegrated as you also hold
My hand more firmly and I feel safe in
Your embrace. My secrets are folded
Up and you protect them. I crave skin
To skin contact, but what matters to
Me more is that you have stopped all
The bleeding before it gets way too
Messy or out of hand and before I fall
You pull me back. You did not realize
That you are my lifeline and you saved
Me from my shadows. With our eyes
On the horizon we watch the unpaved
Path turn into something worthwhile.

All it took was that one hug and smile.

The Royals vs the poet's realm

Of splendid thrones of gold
or treasures manifold
Of jewelled caskets
or lavish banquets
Of Emirs and rajahs
Of Sultan and Shahs
Of kings and queens
Of rulers and emperors
Of sparkling crowns
or flowing gowns
Of their subservient stewards and obedient pages
Of their stalwart squires and servile knaves
Of poor humble, docile minions
who tended to regal pavilions
And obeisantly carried royal palanquins
Oh and some were real life harlequins
Of castles and palaces
of abounding gold and silver
in ostentatious regal splendour
The sidelined fanning maids in waiting
Yet to me only one thing worth noticing
The minstrels who came to sing
from afar for the queen and king
For I'd rather be a poetess for kings
so to my tunes swayed a kingdom
than I be the king of mere subjects
and be filled with regal boredom!
So I could join ranks of
and sing for the king
some folklores.
A passion for poesy
For magic of literacy [/b]

I Pinky Swear

I can't say
Our paths will ever cross again
I refuse to believe
This is the end
Like a prison wall
It keeps me from the fall
If you want the truth
I miss you
And the things you do

I see you everywhere I go
The girl in the drive through has your eyes
At the checkout she had your hair and your
They'll never take your place, or erase
The way I feel for you

Sometimes I get a little crazy
When I hear our favorite song
I turn it up and sing along
I get lost in the rhythm and rhyme
Thinking of you
I drift back in time
Wish you were here
If I said I still care
Will you be there
I'll always love you
I pinky swear

Love is beautiful, Love is ugly
Love is powerful, love is dangerous
Love is nurturing, love is misleading
Love is a beautiful spring day, love is war
Love is birth, love is death
Love is what you make it, but what love is not “ something you can take for granted “.
If you are lucky enough to find someone who loves you for you, trust me and hold on for dear life. There is an opposite side to love.

When we first meet I never knew that we would go this far with our love and understanding that we share deep within our hearts and minds, but its because of you I feel that I have found the one just for me to share my life and dreams with till the end of time.
For you bought out the very best deep within me from my heart mind and soul for you gave me a dream that I truly needed within my life and world, for you even took my love even higher than I could ever dream till I have become addictive to your love and deepness of pure understanding.
For loving you has become my mission for life as you've shown me what real love feels like from the heart and spiritual soul of a man because of a woman, for you have become my destiny as you open up my mind exposing the true depth of my heart and soul to the very essences of pure love with a deep understanding.

Why Do I Love You

Why do I love you?
Is it because of how you look?
You are beautiful from head to toe
In every cranny and nook
Your loveliness shone out to me
From the first time we met
That feeling's only grown stronger
It hasn't left me yet

Why do I love you?
Is it because of how you feel
Your outpouring of emotions
That you release with zeal
You have the biggest, sweetest heart
That is overflowed with love
Giving to all and everyone
Wanting help from no man's glove

Why do I love you?
Is it because of how you think
Never afraid to self-express
Against some other click
The values that you hold close
Make you the woman that you are
Out there amongst the millions
The brightest shining star

Why do I love you?
It's because of all of this and more
You are the key that went into my lock
To open up my door
The piece of missing jigsaw
That made my picture whole
I love you always, every day
With all my heart and soul

I bask in the warmth
of your smile like the Sun…
peel off the layers
of pain and protection…
I can show my me to you.
You give me comfort;
touch me for no reason
save you love me.
You will not hurt me.
I can give my me to you.
...in time…
I won't need you anymore…
I won't love you any less...

Confessional @ 1am

I'd have you in for tea, but you've seen just how I live
So I ask you, “Night, tell me, is that really all you've got to give?”
Spastic inclinations formed by drastic elations
You’ve got me talking in quotations as I lay in exudation
I can’t pinpoint just when it was that I lost power
But this once bittersweet has all but turned to sour
I swallowed up my dignity and glanced upon your shadow
Then I woke up in France inside a rundown chateau
As she twisted her head to the side with a quirk
"How have you been?" she said with a smirk
I can see right through your eyes as if they’re made of glass
That award winning grin, she angles with class
I've left it, as they say, inside the hands of fate
So the next time I choose teams I'll be sure you participate
This difficult climb, not for the faint of heart
Let me stop you right there before you even start
I've run away again, till I’m lost out of sight
Holding on for one more day, and maybe one more night…
So here is my confessional, I’m well aware it’s 1 A.M.
But my eyes just will not close and my thoughts refuse to mend…

The house

In the house we sat in the middle where nothing but a table sat in front of us. We couldn’t move. We had to sit & be forced to look at each other. Cuffed by chains we tried to break free. Over time we knew why this was our prison. We finally understood why this kind of torture was needed. We never took the time to talk & we always ran away. We had no other choice but to lay it out on the table. You cried & said “why did I stop loving you?” I realized I helped with your hurt. I looked with pain in my eyes & asked “why did you put me in a position to do so?” Whats hurts more being bound by chains? or being bound by your hatred for someone?
(Put it all on the table or be bound to do it.)

Frankenstein's Apprentice

Lives created between blue spaces...
copulation of mind and pen
now crumpled inside a wooden coffin,
once their birthplace,
to be discarded into a graveyard of lost notions
Red lines strike through black lines
executing their existence,
or maybe just killing them briefly
so they might simply be born again; ah, yes, born again
I sift through graves to revive bodies I deem fit
as to give them life once more
and allow them to live among pages of immortality

So It Seems

Upon this Summer Solstice Eve’s hot night
You danced for me in dreamscape’s June moonlight
A sight, exotic, like I’ve never seen
I rue that it was only just a dream!
My mind’s eye winks with devilish intent
Resisting, as I grow more senescent
Your ageless beauty drives me to adore—
My soul, in chase, takes flight as beauty soars!
Alas, before the catch, upon the heights
My soul is struck incapable of flight
Debased, it crashes down into the dirt
Condemned forevermore, an introvert!
This memory of love still fills my dreams
Although alone, I’m well; or, so it seems.

Love Is...

Love is

sight where obscurity lays
parallel to luminous visually blinding curiosity
perceiving light’s blinking eye to warm a shaken path
of dark and damp coldness until tipping toes can
walk firmly on unyielding solid ground

Love is

monochromatic rainbows in shades of you;
pale tones of expectations with no expectations
interrupted by kaleidoscopic flushings
at that chanced, precise moment
when shades of you casts hues of you
as the sun reflects its orange moon

Love is

discovering no roads
no paths
no here…no there...
no yesterday…no tomorrow...
only destiny
where a lingering dream finds you
no longer asleep and you yearn for the
solace to never awaken

Love is

climaxing without the autograph of penetration’s pen
neither the signature of one’s hand on life’s walls,
but the brush of kismet’s fingertips
against the back of your neck;
across the breath of your lips,
stroking the balance of
emotional sobriety and passionate intoxication
until each are each other’s
Love is

every emotion wrapped within
destination unknown
to be defined
all of the above and
none of the above
just the innate feeling born to each being
but belonging to no one

when you give me you
and I give you me,
we become that undefined definition
of what is created between us,
and that’s when
