The Creature

On a cobblestone road in the middle of the night,
I'm a sorry looking soul, with skin of pale white.
There are puddles on the ground, reflecting the moon's light,
plus some fog rolling 'round, that's inhibiting sight.
I see no one else around, I'm really hoping I might.
I'm surrounded by the sound of rain, two cats in a fight,
plus water rushing down the drains and pouring out of the pipes.
I pop the collar on my coat, I go left and then right.
I find a woman walking alone, now I'm ready to strike,
with no plan of attack, besides butter meets knife.
I tell her to relax, I slide my hand up her back
and pull her hair as she fights, I find a vein and then bite.
It rejuvenates me,
draining you of your life.
Another cobblestone corpse, another mother and wife.
I lick the blood from my lips, become a bat and take flight.
This be my curse and my burden, it's my perpetual plight.
Don't let me catch you at night, lest you become a meal.
At times, I think back to the bite that should have killed me for real.
Now I'll forever roam the earth, putting folks on their heels,
draining air from their tires and plucking spokes from their wheels.
Flying high above the fog, I can't describe how it feels,
the moon and god above me, looking down on people I've killed.
I'm a villain forever, I've come here to give you the chills,
I was reluctant at first, but now I find it a thrill.
Now I don't have to be thirsty to give your neck some new gills,
so hide your children, hide your spouses, because nobody's safe.
I keep this city haunted, guard your house with a stake
and let the games begin. I'll smell your skin
as I lean in for a taste.

I'm the kind of monster that they no longer make.

meeting god

the taste of your lips
the feel of your skin against my skin
the scratches on my chest
you catch your breath when i go in

you're digging furrows in my back
your legs around my hips
playing with your nipple
teeth tongue and lips

frantic writhing
or steady rhythm
your sadism for
my masochism

your moans and my need
climbing higher with each thrust
lending me temporary greatness
without satisfying my lust

then your screaming out my name
the audiences applaud
i don't hear a thing
i'm communing with my god

Tinder Siren

Just a siren of our modern day
With those ruby pouted lips
‘Yes’ is all that you can say
To those wild sashaying hips

Hungry eyes that stare you down
Begging ‘please swipe right'
Seems a princess sans the crown
What an awesome sight

But this beauty is more beast
It is greatly sad but true
Searching for her next feast
Now her sights are set on you

You want her, need her
And grasp your chance
Lusting like a wild curr
You stab her with your hardened lance

But then you see the monster’s teeth
Nine months after your release
For life has grown within her sheath
Now every penny she will fleece

So beware of the siren's call
Spiteful wears a pretty face
Five minutes for a mighty fall
A lifetime bearing your disgrace.

Feathers

I walk on this shore
Where angels have walked before
Collecting feathers that fell from their wings

I hold them in my hands
So God will understand
The comfort that it brings

I'm afraid to die
So I'll pretend to fly
With feathers that I own

I go back in time
Nothing but you I find
Memories are like stones
They only hurt when you crash on them alone

Ordo inordinationem

i
Burning inner incense for their delection of gods and men,
ii
Beginning stillness of the void, convoked a deafened rhyme
While this supernal rule withdrew neither moment nor time
Entrance a turning dream, traverse the heart's acumen fear
Apocrypha illusions to dubiously manifest their ancient tear,
iii
Before liquid fractures as a broken vigil far from the stream of care
God giving water to comprise since we can not comprehend the air,
iv
Spins at northern hemisphere's religion of the procession
Held in hand, walking these dim lit temples of meditation
Such a time, envision coupled in another space reflection,
v
Self-picture to mask their unholy temple of worship
Breaking a truth spine, sailing an outward soul ship
Tricked heart broke in two, a mind then to back slip,
vi
Their leviathan conjures a wicked sun to harken day
Rubs soulless eyes as a blurring inside confusion lay
Inevitable decision into judgment lets their mind rip
Occultic sea of change unknown to a common whim...

Monsters are real,
But they don’t come in the way you think,
They don’t have wicked looking fangs
Or serrated teeth or sharp claws.
They don’t have horns or bat-like wings.
They don’t hide in dark corners with glowing eyes,
Or have scaly skin.
They don’t move on hind legs
Looking like evil things unleashed from hell.

Monsters are real,
But they look like every day you and me,
They have a façade of normality,
Many times of beauty.
They can be impeccably dressed,
They can have attractive smiles
(That sometimes cause a chill)
But their intentions are malicious.

Monsters come in disguises,
In the form of men who try to rule the world,
In murderers and rapists who know no boundaries.
Monsters are those in history
Who had many do their bidding and killing for them,
(And those who followed their orders)
With no regard for human life.
Monsters are those who long to deal death at every turn,
Who enjoy the suffering of others for their pleasure,
Their hatred feeds a more sinister plan,
An abhorrence of light.

Yes, monsters are real.

Mankind in Dreamland

Pestered and pursued
by unknown foes
A topsyturvy land
where snakes can have horns
and cows can have fangs.
Night'mares' where the day's stallions
make mountains out of molehills

A chance to witness greek mythology-like creatures for real
For dreamland tis a place for the unreal and surreal.

Those hair-raising scary scary dreams
beset with horrified silent screams!

We do try to interrupt nightmares, pinching ourselves
With relief wake up to see there aren't any horrid elves.
We also try to interpret dreams filled with mystery
But gifted dream interpreters like prophet Joseph
Are now part of biblical human history

All in all, dreamland's fascination
for extra-ordinary exaggeration
and tall-tale imagination

Where myth and legend come to life
An amalgam of fiction or real strife

Where assorted monsters of the mind
reign supreme in that REM sleep of our kind.

Yet on the other hand the wishful, wistful sweet sweet dreams
where fantasies form mirages bordered by fanciful seams.

Where castles in the air that humans build, float gently down to earth
only to shoot back up unto nowhere from the awakened one's berth.

In dreamland a pauper girl can be a princess or fairy fair
for daydreams extend into the night and linger on there.

A quote I took to heart and it to console all and sundry
'that if your sweet dreams don't come true, don't you fret
for atleast your nightmares didn't come true either,
so just heave a sigh, by and by.

Every night let us all just fly away and escape
And lo behold  the extraordinary world of Dreamscape.
