Silence

Silence never lies
So, when it's speaking to you
Listen carefully

Contemplation

water, calm, quiet

fishless, baitless, perfection

"Gone Fishing" weather

Theatre

a pause less the pose,
public or private, does not
golden silence make

Aporia

Faint lips opening.
No sign of teeth, nor of sound.
Aporia sign...

Such a different angle to come at this comp from, one I did not even anticipate.
I shall seek some silence to contemplate the various reasons how this single word can be thought of depending in which part of the world one is born into. Quite the revolving perspective when seen from different eyes.

Thank you, cabcool, for this thought provoking piece.

Quiet Haiku🌿

( linked-haiku renga )

🐅
a tapir stays low
in the stillness holds its breath
motionless tiger

🐊
a crocodile slips
soundless into the river
the fowl quickly fly

🌌
from steamy night’s heat
a full moon shimmers brightly
the sleeping village

I'm thankful for the affirmation, Amorous_tryst.

Indeed, the world can no longer be silent about silence.

The same idea came up when I studied experimental music eons ago:  composers such as John Paynter (British) and John Cage (American) explored the notion that there was no more silence in the silence.

They built silences (rests) in their musical compositions so that incidental environmental and audience "noises" (sounds) could become part of the soundscape continuum.

Sincerely

cab

Tranquil Abiding

breathing slows to wisps
mind becomes a stilled ocean
peaceful quietude

legs crossed, hands folded
gathering into the void
coming home again

three doors open us
the body, the mind and speech
perfectly controlled

Complete Silence Haiku

Echoing silence
The only thing I can hear
Are my racing thoughts
