TRAPPED

🚹 🚺
One night at a carnival
I  accidentally bumbed into
Fortune telling gypsy
I was drunk and a fool
So, I insulted her
She cursed me

In the morning I awoke
To find I had a woman's body
Yet, I still feel like a man
Now trapped in a woman's salary

SWITCHED

The phantom of unconditional despair grips me amid the absurd chaotic turns of fascination and fear as I lie afraid to open eyes or confirm by any other measure paralyzed by the knowledge that I am lost to everyone I love

You are a foot away asleep on the bed the kids in the other room parents several miles north brothers here and there

I cry because crying is something that I remember how to do and it works the same way thank god

I cover myself up with the small bit of blanket that didn’t already form a cocoon and accidentally brush against myself and love how I feel

{Epilogue} Ultimately I laugh quietly for what seems like forever how is this moment any more ridiculous than any other after all

I Feel Beautiful

Somebody pulled a switcharoo on old Wallyroo,
This morning I am completely dumbfounded,
Little Wally and the twins have gone missing,
But what I have now leaves me astounded.
So before I go exploring on this new found gift,
There is a shift in my brain I can’t explain,
Suddenly I begin to see the world in a new way,
Understanding life and feeling a new pain.
I rush over to the mirror to see what this is,
Ripping and stripping my clothes off I gasp,
Looking at the wonder and softness around,
But there is something I still cannot grasp.
This is maddening, how is this happening?
And yet I feel a power I’ve never felt before,
I am a woman, I feel beautiful and so I must…
Get in touch with my inner goddess and explore.
I admire at the beauty, the bod, the booty,
I’ve been blessed from top to back to front,
But then suddenly I feel a cramp, oh damn!
I’ve been switched at that time of the month.
