Darkness and Light

You cannot have not have darkness without the light
You cannot have a morning without the night
You cannot have a void without the occupied
Darkness is akin to light more than you like
Dark is the yang, yin is the light
And somewhere between is your soul
Dwelling in the twilight!

Mother Earth and Father Sun

the dawn sang of magic pure and beautiful
the Earth spun on her axis
enchanted by the song
the sun rose on her enchantment
and warmed her heart

her children all awakened to the melody
sleepy in their beds
they smiled inside themselves
their mother was so happy
their roots tingled a little

slowly one by one their petals open
and they drank in the sun
tiny drops of hope
they shared with the firmament its self

the joy was then passed to the trees
great sentinels of old
who keep watch
they witness the sunrise
and felt their mother's joy
she then sent the wind
to rustle their leaves
and awaken them to the moment

hummingbird came with a story all his own
he whispered it to the flowers
it was then recorded on their petals
sky read it and told the trees
it was then scribed on their leaves

finally, the sun saw the truth
written in the sands
is the magic of poetic life
it revolved around him and his woman
is witnessed in all that is natural

so it was from the beginning
and will be until the end

Said The Sun To The Moon

The sun longed
for the cool embrace
of the bejeweled moon

though he would
shy away from her
scorching embrace

she loved his
rough edges and swagger
lusting for him throughout the day

eagerly awaiting the moment
when they would be as one in the sky
her heart raced at just the thought of him

her curvaceous sizzling figure
dressed in her best golden gown
she wished to impress him

desiring him with all her heart
finally he with his sexy voice
so sensual spoke to her

lovely one you sparkle and shine
I've been wanting you for an eternity now
though i'm afraid of getting burned

I've been hurt though
I carry a tough guy persona
with all my swagger

there's a tender heart underneath
kiss me sweet lady I've been gazing
at you for forever

watching you warm the Earth
tenderly seeing to the crops
feeding the humans with your giving rays

lay with me awhile as the tides roll in
let's make love while one in the sky
the moon and sun fell for each other hard

one cold the other scorching
worlds collided that day
as a new star was born

Gravity

No matter the time of day, the sky is alit with light
The sun shines shamelessly during the day
Past dusk, the stars shyly twinkle, and the moon glows white
Both celestial objects are impressive in their display.

The Earth below is their common ground
All three held together by gravity
Blessed by its rays, the sun became crowned
While the moon’s reflected surface holds a hue of sensuality.

Nuclear core and reflection reach out to each other
As the sun and moon race after one another along the sky
The moon, named Luna, provides comfort as does any mother
The sun, named Nova, is always a presence that one can rely.

Their love is timeless and pure
For us simple creatures on the surface, they appear as the same size
Through impacts and radiation, they both have endured
And out of the darkness have become wise.

Despite their love, the distance between them is great
Their fading light too far to reach even during the transition from night and day
Some say that their doomed love is due to cruel fate
Yet despite the odds, they have found a way.

The one, powerful moment where they can become one
A frightening, yet intriguing event known as a solar eclipse
A brief moment when the moon blocks out the sun
Allowing Nova the view of Luna as she’s stripped.

Nova finally sees the dark side of the moon
And deems Luna the most beautiful he has ever seen
His light tenderly envelops Luna in a bright cocoon
In that brief moment, nothing can come in between.

Alas, the moment passes, and they separate once more
But they cherish the rare event close to their hearts
Their everlasting love warms them to their core
They remain loyal to each other, even though they are far apart.
