I suppose it slipped my mind as many thing do nowadays... Ely

Sorry... I thought they were, they could be, perhaps they will be at some other time, a little (not much) humorous... Sorry, again!

My Pen is Mightier

My pen is mightier than any sword or rod,
It spits so much fire you’ll be like “Oh my gawd!”
Because come hell or high water it’s a slaughter,
My wand is more magical than Harry Potter's!

My pen is cocked and loaded maybe encoded,
From tip to cap to stick and shaft and barrel,
Thus depending on the size of the ball’s point,
You best believe the ink will feel a little feral.

Don’t worry, the trick is in not seeing the prick,
Like a sick slick limerick licks, pleases and tickles,
It will hit hard like bricks, it's thick like Webster’s dic-
-tionary
You’ll definitely find yourself in a stiff pickle.

So whether you spit them out or swallow the words,
There is nothing mightier or harder than this,
Because you know I could, you know I would,
That’s how I describe the anatomy of what my pen is.

Flushed from Existence

Cremate me when I die and flush my ashes down the toilet bowl
I'll be right at home - scattered remains in a world of shit and cyclones
If I find a way I'll, no doubt, be coming back to cause trouble
"Rest in Peace" etched on my headstone - best friends with bleach and Scrubbing Bubbles

Won't be the next Casper - my spirit too vindictive
Poltergeist in the septic tank giving no rest to the wicked
Ghastly bastard of the alabaster and chrome
You've heard of haunted porcelain dolls but never a haunted porcelain throne

Hi folks....
Comp is gonna end in just ten days...
Time to think about any editing  for spelling, etc you may wish to do...
The entries will first be checked for the presence of ''Levity'' and ''Brevity''

At this point, a select few friends and I will evaluate, the entries  and a winner and runners up chosen... and notified.

Thanks for your participation... Ely

Dear runaway... I think you may have pressed the wrong button...
Your piece does not seem to fit the guidelines of this particular competition...care to take a second look? Ely

Well, Tak, Dear... it seems to me
that you have managed levity
and also quite effectively...
filled the need for... brevity... Ely

Thank you everyone for your participation
in my first competition... you made it memorable...

Missy's entry ''Hook, Line and Sinker'' won with Josh and ''Last Sunday in October'' close behind... had to choose for
brevity.
Blocat's entry, ''Damn Bad Neighbor'' went the same as well... in the end, 'twas brevity as made the choice for me... Thanks, you all, for joining in... It was so much fun... I'll do it again... Ely
