POem of the Month - November 2018
Polished Mirror
Emotional reaction
visceral
confrontation
Electing calmly
to disengage
Her rage
not my burden
Pain she bears
unknown to me
not my place
to judge
that which I cannot see
Knowing not
her path
nor where
her travels led
alternatively
I offer
prayers for her instead
I shall shoulder
no resentment
heart open
mind free
as I know her actions
had nil to do with me
visceral
confrontation
Electing calmly
to disengage
Her rage
not my burden
Pain she bears
unknown to me
not my place
to judge
that which I cannot see
Knowing not
her path
nor where
her travels led
alternatively
I offer
prayers for her instead
I shall shoulder
no resentment
heart open
mind free
as I know her actions
had nil to do with me

If possible, can we remove my actual picture from the Facebook group for my winning entry, “Morendo” — I had no idea my picture would be posted on Facebook and identity would be compromised! Thanks!

I'm sorry your privacy was infringed. We had something like this happen when I was involved and thought it had been decided we were to notify the recipient to ensure they were okay with social networking distribution. Entering comps is one thing; that implies consent. However, being nominated without knowledge is another.
I've notified Webmiss via your message. We should all be more careful regarding privacy concerns of the recipients we nominate.
