But I don't know what background you're referring to. This white background here?

**Her**

                                                 **Her**
She's still after me, she's still in my mind. around most corners sometimes right by my side. She got what she wanted and managed to take it all, even the place my baby's call there home.
She tells me things that I know are not right, things like you wont change you need me in your life. Along with her comes not only pain but hurt. She'll watch as you loose everything you've been working towards.
In no time at all she will take it all. She'll push out your family and all of your friends. She puts you out, out in the dark and all the ones you once cared about. The people the ones who love us, the ones who cared oh so much.
Shes now got them, there scared and there mad mainly all for us. It hurts so bad as she pulls each and every thread. I'm so weak I just want to be dead. Or at least that's what she wants in my head. She brings nothing but evil and torment right between us as we lay in our bed with regret.
She takes all your strength as you beg and beg. Euphoric and strong she'll sing you that song but deep down inside you see it you feel it. You tell yourself Kayla, you've got to snap out of this before your to far gone. She allows me to hear only when she wants.
Its those faints voices I've always loved, so soft so sweet so quiet. Are you guys out there? Shhhh.... honey your mommy's still right here. It feels like it took me so long all those depressed and sleepless nights all the pain and the shakes from inside.
The fear and the hurt BOOM she's right here. This time she's more stronger than before stronger than ever. Please don't let her back in. don't let her control this. Lets tell her she is not welcome in our lives anymore. Cant you see she brings our lives only heartache and sorrow and always bad karma.
Bad choices are her favorite motto, there how you get what you need or so you begin to think. All those bad things now is all you can think. She ends up landing you in jail, now you really cant stop thinking all kinds of shit inside your head. Hey wake up as they tell you in there, come on move your ass ahead get your dinner tray, then after that I'm taking your ass's to rec.
She wants us to only think all about those bad memories. She's got me drained my mind is hallucinating. Half of my days are just blurs anymore or vicious and scary thoughts. She gets called the devils drug by so many. She takes you so willing all because you chose to invite her in.
Her mark is now on me, why was I so stupid? I knew that her ink would never wash off me. Her name my friend is the kind in your nightmares the one who says so calmly here take my hand let me lead you somewhere sad.
Methamphetamines or Ice whichever you decide..........
You don't need her anymore don't do this again. She wont stop shes begging and driving you insane again and again. calling out your name she keeps asking you if she can come in. Please lets walk away from her again. Oh no I think I know her plan. I really do know it she told me last time. Her plan once we are here is this time I'm taking them there not going to win. There mine thanks guys for putting up a nice fight again and again.

Curse of Hammurabi

Intensity surrounds this place
Discomfort that I can’t define
An aura that is borne of hate
A loathsome, vile demonic shrine

Nefarious filth linger here
Where decent folk can’t bear to tread
I'm terrorized by coffin’s bier
Or, is that just a desk, instead?

An evil minion rooks my fate—
Invoking Curse of Hammurabi
Intimidating as I wait
In line here, in my bank branch lobby!

A well woven, well conceived piece. This work clearly demonstrates you versatility, especially when compared with your contributions to the "Letters"  you so skillfully produced.  Should be obvious to all readers that your talents are diverse and deserve discovery!

Hot Plate

( a spill and scrub )

While early morning had you
greet me from the base of a
volcano, the air thick with

last night’s constant rainfall, in
the land of a string of pearls
disgorged by the sea and worn

down by recycled tempests;
the age-old trade-off of a
paradise, pursued and found

where even the birds are lost,
unseen and huddled, as they
catch up on their sleep, reclaimed.

And the first light of day, those
thousands of miles away, is
hard pressed to rear its flame from

such a drenching, a deluge —
a tirade of paper fans,
of mai tai in coconuts.

I eschew the pilot light
of a composition, on
the move, placing it on a

hot plate by my elbow bent,
just as your crackl’d voice crawls
into my canals, lent, to

leave its larvae for later,
to uncurl and feast upon
my brain - so ravenously.

Walls

Hard.Tough.Solid....drywall
Overhead domes climb up 7ft tall and over,
Walls have seen it all...

Blanketed in innocent pastels
A candy striper on my roller,
Painted plaque with rainbow liquor

Eggshell.Irish Cream.Cerulean.Sable...
Brights for the dark to hide,
Blind the truth of this plaster's fable
Dark to bury coffins of jocular pastimes...

A wet rouge
To lie away the scars of Time's abuse,
Lumps,dents,punctures & stains
Graffiti mildew of floods & hurricanes

Sightless witness to violence
Hostage maestro cuffed to the bass of instruments,
Buckets from the guillotine ;
Passed down through centuries to baptize crime scenes...

Chocolate.Peach.Vanilla.Cinnamon...
Cocooned in a Rubik cradle
Lies hues of virgin damnation,
Snuggled & soothed suckling Mother's nipple...

Ugly.Flaky.Waxy wallpaper
A fake strapless mask,
Concealing the history that walls have.

Graffiti's Word

On the wall across the street
a slogan drew her attention
encircled by a well-designed graffiti
depicting cleverly a certain connectivity
of all the arts

“Arts of the world unite
and let us all fit in!”

She frowned and sighed disapprovingly.
Reached in her purse, out came her lipstick.
First did her lips – burning red – and crossed the street.
There, under the slogan, hand and lipstick drew letters:

“Free the words from escorting guards…”

Hand and lipstick suspended for a moment
A satisfied smile led them to the task’s completion:

“A Word Says More Than A Thousand Pictures!”

Lipstick back in purse, turned her back to the wall
back she crossed to the other side
as a couple of curious eyes zoomed in the Word...
