There, before me he stood
Handsome with beautiful features
Words that always understood
More than skillful teachers.
He was utterly charming and clever
Romantic in every which way.
I couldn’t have met anyone better
In all my mortal days.
A man filled with mysterious charm
With hidden secrets and tales untold.
He’d fold me in his loving arms
When asked about secrets he’d hold.
With the full moon shining radiantly bright
One day, he gave me a passionate kiss.
And, there before me, I caught a quick sight
Of his fangs that grew in my midst.
Startled and scared, I took a step back.
And, there, he let out some bittersome tears.
The clouds, once white, now turned black
Hiding the moon as I shivered with fear.
Captivated by his handsome features
Hypnotized by awesomely clever memories
I couldn’t run from this beautiful creature
Even for the sake of me.
He, right then and there, offered me
The gift I wanted of immortality.
For I longed for ways to be set free
From the consequences of my sin’s reality.
So, I took his offer extended that night
His eyes lit up when he looked at mine
He gifted me another kiss before taking a bite
Drinking floods of my blood like gulping down wine.
Now, a night creature, sees not the sun
But roams at night in the lonely dark
Sleeps in a coffin when the night moon runs
Looking for strollers in the park
To feed itself...with floods of their blood.
Hoping never to see a cross
Nor have its heart stabbed with a stake.
For all these troubles, mortality lost
Even night creatures don’t get any breaks
From burdens and problems in this life. .
A bargain I was so much willing to take
So, there I collapsed and mortality died.
