That Little Bit of Bliss

After stolen glances and playful smiles,
All I long for is the taste of her lips,
The attraction is definitely palpable,
Like celestial bodies in eternal eclipse.
In the moment when her face is near mine,
All I want is her everlasting kiss,
And so my heart skips a beat syncopating,
To match hers in that little bit of bliss.

The scent of her skin, the warmth of her face,
The tiny vibrations run deep and through,
The thrilling magic like the fabric of a dream,
When her mouth is moist, soft and smooth.
And it’s in this moment that I take my time,
When our tongues waltz perfectly in sync,
With deep seeded breaths full of passion,
The ravenous hunger doesn’t let me think.

It’s a perfect balance, a serene commotion,
Her fire is higher and hotter and bold,
Her aroused expression is a true confession,
Of the desire she can no longer control.
Between gasps and pants there is a trance,
The way she moves with every single stroke,
When her mouth is just as hungry as mine,
The way her body stirs and softly provokes.

With every single slow and torturous caress,
She quivers a little in our passionate kiss,
With deep seeded breaths full of passion,
Ravenous for that little bit of bliss.

The Legend

His name was Frank. Frank Something or Other. Our college class was small enough that I could make one call this instant and be reminded not only of his last name, but also get a 20-year update of what he’s been up to since.

We didn't even dig each other. Not like that, anyway. But get high enough on good weed and ask for a back massage in the middle of a lazy afternoon, and you too might get jammin’ to the rhythm of a Bob Marley album on repeat.

Soft, lingering kisses. Lazy, languorous swapping of tongues in perfect sync. Hands searching harmoniously for hair and face and neck—pushing, then pulling to the rhythm of Exodus. Fanciful flickings of a perfect tongue that my imperfect finger would replay over and over again later that evening and in years to follow.

And when future lovers ask you about your best kiss ever, you will simply say the name Frank, smile that college-girl smile, and not care in the slightest that he has no last name.

R.

Your kiss

encroaching red lips stained with hope and sorrow
slipping past worries and trust
breaking through rage and pain
brushing serenity to replace it with calm calamity
igniting a fire still burning true
etched into the crevices of my heart
pulling me closer to you
feeling the heat rising underneath our clothes
begging to be released
begging to break free
holding my face in your palms
oh sweet release

The Witches Kiss

tender labium
velvety and exquisite
illusory purity breeds enticement
borrowed sensations are ripe
the shallow pools of her pupils so mesmerizing
Trapped my heart within her wretched curse
Her sorcerers black magic
Lips taste like ash and dirt
Now I'm caged in her embrace
I crave that juicy box in my mind
Yet not within my corporeal nerves
She strips my soul, it violates my core

She vanishes like a ghoul in the dust
burglarizing literal and metaphysical property
my trust, communication device, my heart, my bank account
forsaking nothing but my fruitless desire

My agonizing futility
to gaze upon her silky face once more

One or two years drift by
Like an Eagle soaring high
The backdraft in my gut has petered
My passion, my anger defused
Trees into sticks, dirt into mud

Like the Wizard of Oz
She is nothing but a witch doused in water
Albeit, H20 is substituted with an element far more potent
Apathy
A weapon more powerful than Excalibur

Lifting the enchantment placed upon my conscious
Dismantling the curse of the witches kiss.
One and for all
Forever and ever
