Yep. A few days ago I got all panicky about a friend. We haven't seen each other for 30 years and are in very sporadic FB contact. I got in touch. She had attempted suicide.

Yes. My parents have a medlar tree. A medlar is a really old fashioned fruit, and to eat it, you have to let it rot in a process called “bletting”.

It’s gorgeous. Fragrant. And tastes like posh apple purée and dates mixed together 🙂
