The Grey
Sky Gods, borne of higher mind
drive worship from lower kind
Astral astronauts, ashes from past
float adrift these days circling aft
Nibiru blue or martian read
living on, abductions said
We took to space for our planets were dying
looking to populate,
life ever trying
Planting seeds upon there,
each round
perfect sphere,
will it fit
this desolate atmosphere
Study and sturdy, track in a hurry
Filed kept data
for the hopes of forever
What perfect way
can we gleam life today
Will it live here what happens there
We write to the space, droplets in case
this one dies, there's others in place
These are destructive, others like air
Why such food this, the planet blue
Could a cow handle space travel too
No matter, how we try the matter star-dusts
cows don't have souls like the rest of us
Holy Hindu I say, to worship what's free
maybe their right, Holiest of thee
Did you know he was a pilot, first class
of that, I don't doubt it
kept his home here, till folks came to near
But I took a look at bigfoots craft
It was sleek, fast, when he showed me its path
The past the present,
future lay in waste
If we don't save these so called races
Ancients crumble
But did You see what they made
it lasted a little while,
stills...
certain erase
When You look from up this high
See...
Certain death
The sun, universe and everyone
it's there at the end
See...
It's looming
Ever darker
Progress we must
just ask uncle Marty
We're never ensured
sound, safe and secure
only dust
darkness...
Of it we labor
toiled, tired, tenacious
The Grey
as we...
trying to cheat time

Not a new poem (and therefore not mayhap suitable for the contest), but this one of mine is a good example of how to do something a little different with this genre. Enjoy!
- Ancient Aliens -
An adventure into fear!
Part One – The Explorer’s Fate
Within the darkness black as is obsidian,
Cast off, by the ones who came down…
Forgotten by man, and forever forsaken.
Therein, came but a single solitary sound:
A scream, shrill and piercing as a shriek!
For an errant explorer had met his god…
Only to discover, all too late, how weak,
How frail is man before the Divine’s rod.
No mortal hands moved that old stone…
Which was worked to form an evil place.
But things not of all human flesh or bone,
For they were born in far distant space…
Brought to work for masters more awful.
Gods to some, but ones far from lawful!
Titans some called them, but such names,
Are fleeting, where burn immortal flames.
Part Two – Dweller in Darkness
Worship is sometimes born from horror,
From fear of that which is truly unknown.
So it was for that ancient, dead explorer,
Whose piety: into pure terror had grown!
The sealed door he had opened, curious.
One marked with symbols that did glow,
With energy that crackled so uproarious!
From unseen forces that thusly bestow…
Either, blessing or curse unto humankind.
And what of that which brought his end?
It waits there still, without tether to bind,
Its’ form, which in darkness must fend…
For it is the last of its’ kind, cast so low.
Its’ inhuman cries, true madness to sow!
The female of its’ species, it was mighty,
A goddess far different, from Aphrodite!
Part Three – The Bold Priestess
The ones who fashioned its’ cursed hide,
They watch in secret, waiting for an hour.
Eyes intent, where such beings do abide!
For they are aliens ancient in their power.
A priestess of an ancient faith long past…
Had come to the place, beyond the dark.
Her guide was the explorer who at last…
Fell to the thing to which none may hark.
She saw the creature and knew real fear,
But was wise enough to flee its’ grounds.
Unto the hidden place she so drew near,
Where the power of alien gods abounds.
She would put a stop to their cruel plans,
And banish them beyond all mortal lands.
But she was not prepared to so witness…
That which would leave her mad, witless!
Part Four – Domain of the Titans
She beheld them: titans on their thrones…
Seemingly dead in a stasis unfathomable!
Their minds were wiser than old crones…
Whilst their forms were far more terrible!
Melded to their machines, so grotesque,
That it was hard to tell, their true shapes.
The priestess called to them, to thus ask,
If they would leave this world to escape:
The deluge that was coming, to punish…
For gods warred and continents did fall!
Atlantis itself, would very soon, perish…
And so it was time to heed an older call.
One of the beings was moved to action,
By the plights of that condemned nation.
The engines of their craft, began to hum,
But one final activity needed to be done.
Part Five – The Watchers Depart
She felt its’ hand on her face grasping…
As tendrils of thought, entered her mind.
Answers to questions none were asking,
To her subconscious, thereupon to bind!
A fluid poured into her mouth unbidden,
Which at the time seemed only as water.
But there was more to it secretly hidden,
From even she, that so sacred daughter!
And long after the titans departed Earth,
She lingered in their halls, in the black…
For therein she changed, and gave birth:
Only to perish, torn from front to back.
Her child, the hand that slew her cruelly,
Waited for the next explorer’s fatal folly.
He and the female creature did breed…
When humans came, the aliens did feed.

ABDUCTION BY ALIENS
I was driving in Nevada
At area 51
All alone on the highway
When above
Something strange came
Sucked me straight up
Found myself being dissected
While I was still alive
Could not feel any pain
Could not move
The strangers looked at everything
They had some sort of chart
Could feel probing in vagina
Then a curious discharge
A human - alien fetus
Put on a Petri dish
Suspect ovaries were harvested
For further use
Lost a week in time
Returned to car
Police found me
Took me to ER
Examined me for damage
They could see no marks
I asked for a laparoscopy
To check for certain parts
The doctor was there when I awoke
Asked me if I had had a hysterectomy
What is wrong - you are missing
Your uterus and ovaries
Checked with my doctor
Back east...no record of such operation
Done anywhere
Now do you believe my story?
About alien abduction
Nobody else does
I am not doing this for attention
We went to adopt a baby
Took him home
I am afraid for him
Never leave him alone.

THE DIARY OF AN ALIEN WHO VISITED EARTH
I was chosen to be
One of the few to visit
That planet far away
The "blue planet" as they say
For some insane reason
My superiors decided
We would land in Area 51
In the middle of a desert
Well if these were humans
They were nuttier than my superiors
They were taking photos
When they had no idea - if we came in peace
I asked: "Take me to your leader"
They said "DUBYA", and told us how to get there
Well there was so much commotion
When we circled the White House
It was then we knew -
This was the nut house
We had a top secret meeting
With the President and his aides
The President said nothing
The dark beauty did all the speaking
They gave us information
That was totally false
For we had done our research
And this planet was near death
The seas and lakes were dying
The pollution was everywhere
Deadly mutations were arising
The President did not care
So we visited the Russians
We thought they were a clever nation
Met with Vladimir Putin
What a reputation!
Their idea of keeping peace
Was to capture and nullify
All opinions except their own
It did not matter if they were: Communists
White Russians or Closet Capitalists
They just wanted people quiet
To know their place
Finally we went across Africa
Which was a horror story all its own
The rest of the world pretended
That it did not exist
Holocausts flourished - all on their own
Never reported - to the rest of the planet
By this time the crew was sick
From something they contacted
On this dirty planet
We retreated to our spaceship
Where our doctors healed us
We headed home to give our report
Our Supreme Leader asked:
"Is the world worth saving?
If so, we will stop that meteorite,
From blasting it to bits."
The crew looked at each other
Our Superior said: "Alas, we have no good news,
With what we have projected,
People on that planet
May just be better off dead."

Just visiting.
Nasty creepy visious things
Living on this planet which has no rings
Out in the open but hiding themselves
clustered in thousands in the places they dwell
Pain and ruin are the gods they all follow
Never paying back to the world from which they borrow
So hard to breathe here ,Ive had enough of this trip
Grabbing souvenirs on our way back to the ship
It's time to leave this overcrowded inhospitable place
we'll come back to study This human race.

For Life
As I was driving
down the country road
the moon seemed to chase me
swiftly I drove
It came without warning
it came with haste
a blinding white spotlight
blazed in my face
next thing I knew
it couldn't be
I was not where
I should have been
A long way from home
alone in the trees
my car sitting idle
I feel ill at ease
how did I get here
where could I be
confusion and pain
coursing through me
bruises and cuts
as if I were dragged
all over my body
feeling so drained
Who will believe
what happened to me
they will all laugh
contemptibly
I alone know
the reality
another experiment
performed upon me
they have been coming
since I was thirteen
little doctors choosing
to steal from me
All that I am
and what makes up me
keeping for themselves
for their own need
I wonder if they
will be here for life
taking what they want
escape in the night
I know I am not
the only one
to suffer in silence
beaten and robbed
there have been others
and there will be
even more victims
long after me
Maybe some day
they will agree
were all the same
our species.
The Olden Gods
They came from above
on chariots of fire
intent on delivering
knowledge inspired
the spaceports were built
seen only from above
scratched in the soil
carved from the rock
we welcomed them openly
praised their light
built statues of tribute
studied the night
they gave us a goal
then shut us down
seems we were smarter
than they bargained for
when we reached out
and touched the sky
they confused our tounges
so we couldn't fly
they were afraid
of losing their place
aloft in the heavens
Gods out of place
then they descended
and took for mates
merging within us
create a new race
mutants were born
then tried to disgrace
the very Gods
who ruled this place
the revolt came swiftly
and from it came
they abandoned the planet
went back whence they came
ever since that day
we still deny grace
defending the knowledge
keeping them away
As I was driving
down the country road
the moon seemed to chase me
swiftly I drove
It came without warning
it came with haste
a blinding white spotlight
blazed in my face
next thing I knew
it couldn't be

little doctors choosing
to steal from me
All that I am
and what makes up me
keeping for themselves
for their own need
I wonder if they
will be here for life
taking what they want
escape in the night
I know I am not
the only one
to suffer in silence
beaten and robbed
there have been others
and there will be
even more victims
long after me
Maybe some day
they will agree
were all the same
our species.
The Olden Gods
They came from above
on chariots of fire
intent on delivering
knowledge inspired
the spaceports were built
seen only from above
scratched in the soil
carved from the rock
we welcomed them openly
praised their light
built statues of tribute
studied the night
they gave us a goal
then shut us down
seems we were smarter
than they bargained for
when we reached out
and touched the sky
they confused our tounges
so we couldn't fly
they were afraid
of losing their place
aloft in the heavens
Gods out of place
then they descended
and took for mates
merging within us
create a new race
mutants were born
then tried to disgrace
the very Gods
who ruled this place
the revolt came swiftly
and from it came
they abandoned the planet
went back whence they came
ever since that day
we still deny grace
defending the knowledge
keeping them away

Alien Truths
I know it's an alien
A soulless invasion
Replicating patterns
in the human status
There's a lot to be learned
that no-one can teach
Observe
over analyze
keep the rats within reach
Recording
and then encrypting
sequences in chromosomal knots
and the map to life is finally found
and the life we had is lost
He's definitely an alien
and all his friends are too

UFO
You know you can read between the lines
But the affect does not send messages
to your heart for you to ommit
The calculations for the number of the beast
666 are a space camp oddysey that really exists
in gravity, it collides with you as one
to show you how to roam in the sun. For fire is a monster and the beast knows none. SO I'll use that against him if he doesn't give me my sickle and blunderbuster gun.
I stare at the black wall think of nothing
but the future that I want to congest is intergallactical and dimensions are afraid to approach me for I crawl towards money.
Why should I think of you, your just not my type.
So what if you know what is good for me? so do I.
Can I please just have some time?
To give you the signal that my life is mine.
What did you say???If I see a UFO i"ll go bankrupt and my life will end and I'll be fined??
Well Gasper has got dark circles under his eyes , his not under arrest so i'll be fine.
And i'm not playing with Cinderella she just pretends the prince wants to smell her.
i want to play with the number of the beast 666.
I want to see the milky way crawl in my jeans
I want spank the monkey and take a trip to Jupiter to see
what Church laws really spin
Oh well if you really wwant to know how I escape
you will have to askk Houdini thay have found his killer
thay where PSYCHIC MAFIA who kill and escape
I don't really consider rape and murder grace.
So I don't escape to a fantasy that wilts like their tricks.
I wish my TV News would change for abit.
One day a news lady said"" Ä drunk bicyclist crashed into a ladys fence to day"" another add said ""If you happen to crash your car in a pole, call us we are panelbeaters!!"
OH well I thought TV for a minute had changed but back to normal
Is it over yet???

The Legacy
Starlights flashed against the sky
Rainbow colours
They swirled up on high
Blue and red they were
Like daemons of the skies
Screams they did
Like dying angels
Wings like flapping worlds
of ancient feathers
grey blue as they swept
Upon the fascinated crowds
Landed the orbs
On the grassy plain
Surrounded by fascinated
People in raiment
Of woven wool
Within the orbs the beings
They did emerged
Dressed in slate grey skies
Unknown feel
Reflective magical attire
The aliens and the ancients
They look towards each other
Spoken words unheard
Touched their minds
With thoughts un-uttered
The ancients they nodded
Left for homes, caverns on hillsides
The aliens they left,
In flying prisms
The Ancients lived on
In their isolation
Predicting weathers of the skies
Reading the stars up on high
Creating words on stones
Letting the future know
Their own future
They foretold disaster
Created by men
For they had been forewarned
The caverns are empty now
Just squiggles on the vast walls
Attracting people to gape
And make assumptions
Ancient words and language gone
Graffiti joined the older ones
Hearts, arrows and roses
Among warnings and admonitions
No one heard the distant thunder rolls.
