Sky's the limit

Sky's the limit; I went there and came back
with blistered fingers.

I banged rage into a dent in the ceiling there
Whose glaring roof wouldn't accept my blood pleas
But sent them back down to fall as rain on soggy earth.
So I scuffed the edge of my angry soul on the
Infinite plaster and
Paintwork; an uncompromising boundary.
- the fuckers still wouldn't let me in.

...not leaking and that you haven't bashed your finger with a hammer, Merda - because I'd rather think this was a despairing irate rant about the state of society. But then I'm a nuke them all type, so any excuse'll do me. Very gutsy.

of the anger and pain one feels when bogged by life. I love it how you have inverted the christmassy mood of 'sky is the limit!'

Elm?

The first sentence reminded me of Elm's opening three line canto, which I'm sure you know. The rest is a bit more Beat territory, and for some reason reminded me of Bukowski's poems about his various ramshackle lodgings. Strange but effective mix of the banal (poorly constructed house) and the poignant (inner self falling apart); the former serves as a potent metaphor for the latter. I hope this sudden surge of creativity from you lasts awhile, Merda:-)

Thankyou Priya :] ...it's something my mum used to say to me all the time when I was little; turned out she was wrong.

And thankyou too Jack. That's my favourite by Plath, so although I wasn't knowingly thinking about it while I wrote this one, it was probably there in the back of my mind, casue you're right, it does echo of that first verse. I hopw this creativity lasts too; it uncovers a lot of interesting stuff :]
