put your name on it

whispering: sound sand stones
smell of nothingness
is it called fresh air?
stuck in the boundaries of language
caging encrypt flying meanings
it’s a changing reflection
disappearing with a tea storm
in my hot chicken soup

I’ve been here one day
I clearly remember
it was a dark freezing night
and I was without
gloves
without my favourite coat
sitting on a bare dirty ground
counting people walking by
was it yesterday or year before?
dejaviu
from the broken dreams
repetition of the lost
walking in the night
on a narrow line
of the ninth floor
on top of the PARADISE
between HERE and THERE
following the soul in search
stuck in nothingness
knowing that if it falls
it won’t hurt as much as it hurts HERE
knowing that fall isn’t escape
it’s a beginning
without useless boundaries and narrow lines
of physical body, bodily emotions, emotional state of mind
but souls – they don’t have mind

thank you priya for your attention. i'm really pleased that you could "feel" the poem. and, yes, i did try my best to make the last line most effective but at the same time not to cut poem short with the sudden ending.

...to me and both of them are evocative - but then that's all about personal perspective I guess, Natalya. There's much I don't understand and at the same time there's much I like!

Abra - you are absolutely right. at first they were two separate poems, but i wrote them in one go. and thought that they have a lot in common, so decided to make that sort of marriage and follow what will come out of it. for some reason, i feel as if this poem is very private to me, even though i don't completely understand it myself. well, one of the aspects i've tried to describe is suicide (to jump from the ninth floor) and what kind of thoughts suicidal people may have

I like the way you're exploring boundaries and limits here - Even though the topic is a bit melancholic, you're playing with language, with the boundaries/mysteries of time (a day, a year, deja vu ...) Nicely done!

heh thanks - i'm very pleased you liked it. i believe that any meaning you can squeeze into any kind of word. that's where group/company jokes come from - you mention ordinary word which have a special meaning for you and your friends - and laugh about it; even though others - see it only as a mentioned word - because they couldnt share past experiences of the group, they were outside this group.

this is a maelstrom of the deepest feelings and beautiful, intense expressions.

I agree with Abra, in that I don't understand everything in this verse - but certainly feel better for reading this.
