(To my son)

Short cropped spiky hair
and wicked little eyes
aside your scrunched up nose
and snarling smile
because you...
well you're a superhero
and me....
well I'm a dragon monster
ready
to pounce and fight
with a daddy's love inside

but you'll always win
as all the while
you'll be my superhero
because I..
well I have never met anyone
who can fill my life
with such a pure light
as you have
with your spiky hair,
your mothers eyes
and fierce little smile
