Suicidal

Wouldn’t it just be simpler to go ahead and press it
Or have the guts to slit it without so many fears
That people will be judging, that “coward” they will name you
That all the blood will scare you and all the yelling will too
And you will drop the pistol and rush outside in tears?

I guess if you say ‘yes’, then come join me on that cliff edge,
The wind is blowing swiftly, so playful on our side;
Close both your eyes like I do, then grab my hand and hold it
Don’t listen to their prayers, don’t listen to their trumpet
Relax and let the silence ride freely in your mind.

I must be saying this though: today you die, you know it,
You felt it, had it in you, and I’m just making sure,
No love for you or from you, the cold will be your partner
Your Valentine will wither, and happiness will alter
And turn into dead fungus that grows into your soul.

It’s just like I imagined. Don’t look at me, you miss it.
An endless sheer of demons ahead of us will scream
And dream of us together, forever and so peaceful
Let’s jump this second! Love me! Then jump and take me with you!
So beautifully simple, I must be in a dream!

Still thinking this is crazy? It’s freedom as we hoped for
There is no crime in dumping a body bruised and old.
So think of all your secrets, remember all your passion
Remember loving people and sunsets by the ocean
As me and you are going where no one’s been before.
