A Tower Rose Inside of Him

a tower rose inside of him,
it grew like a demented beanstalk,
but not to ascend some giants castle
filled with harps and bread,
but rather a gray and English sky
where nothing very much happened,
aside from the occasional bird
sucked into a propeller,
or the first January suicide from
the roof of an office complex.

and inside this tower lived not
Rapunzel, or any other lascivious whore,
but rather a little boy who played hopscotch
by himself, and skimmed pebbles across
puddles which once were lakes and brooks;
he lived inside this stone construction and
said nothing and did little to offend,
but still his very presence sent our man insane,
so one day he walked inside this tower and
chopped the boy in twain.

with his ten toes he built a stove and watched
the white flesh burn, and then he placed the fingers,
one by one, in silver candle holders, so he might
see across the dark, the expanse and hundred
rooms, where nothing else resides aside from
residue, an occasional rattle and school
report the little boy left behind.

it kinda reminds me a bit of my suicide attempt with the toes and fingers fucked up.. here's a picture that I kind of emmualted when I was trying to off myself:

You have outdone yourself! It sounds like what a Brothers Grimm fairytale would sound like if it were written today. The harsh emotionally contrasting phrases keep you guessing and questioning. This is a gem.

Thank you very much Priya:-) I called it that because I couldn't think of a better title, to be honest. What would you suggest? I suppose an alternative would be "Little Boy", but as you know I've already used that once.
