Jesse McCartney

We met in class,
You walked by me.
We would always lock eyes,
My heart would skip a beat.

You looked so gorgeous,
You looked so great.
I knew at once
I'd take you on a date.

A dilemma appeared,
My shyness came back.
It's one thing I hate,
The confidence I lack.

I found your name
On our school's site.
I found your Facebook,
Messaged you that night.

The next morning in Autos,
My phone made a noise.
My heart skipped a beat,
I held back my voice.

We talked for hours,
We told eachother love.
We hung out that night
I still remember the hug.

We danced in the roads,
We kissed in the light
Of the full moon shining
On that warm Summer night.

You played Jesse McCartney
And grabbed my hands.
You brought me close,
and I was your man.

Day by day
I continue to find
The greatest things
That lie in your eyes.

We dance in the night,
We love in the day.
Because you and Jesse
Took my heart away.
