My Name is Whatever You Want it to Be

My character really is a character. It has its very own wardrobe filled with many different costumes, each with it's corresponding production for the appropriate audience.  You see, I am a reluctant actor.  I've grown accustomed to playing my parts and I really don't mind so much.  Very few people are allowed back stage.  In the beginning I let many more visit my dressing room; but time and again I learned that the audience really prefers my characters.   Most people believe they want to know the actors themselves, but just glimpses of reality show the opposite to be true.  So, I will carry on with my acting career...playing a part in all of my shows; and playing a second character of the "real" me.  I am learning who I am beneath all my costumes, and I am OK with me. But I have also learned that for me to remain feeling OK with me, my V.I.P.  list will have to be very small.
