His Fair Lady

"She's little more than a guttersnipe"
This according to Professor Higgins
Listening to her hawk flowers and radiant smiles
And her elocution makes him cringe
Her Cockney abuse of language
Every word a travesty
And the King's English quails
Higgins takes her as "a challenge"
This Eliza who curtsies like a child
And bright enough to learn a thing or two
If she will but listen,
And submit...

"But I'm a good girl, I am!"
This "girl" doth protest too much
Her modesty an obstacle to be overcome
Higgins instructs her to remove her clothes
Eliza's resistance melting under his gaze
He firmly presses the tramp to her knees
Silences her cacophony at long last
A master's favored instrument applied between her lips
Balanced with precision on her tongue
His "ambrosia of wisdom" shot down that lovely throat......

Eliza now speaks like a queen
On Higgins' arm attending balls
They may meet royalty, waltz 'til dawn
But she merely wishes to return
Resume her lessons
His fair lady, and his alone.
