Fossils

It’s plausibly possible
that as far as the fossils go
They’d probably be pissed
to see how far they’re pried from home
If not from pride alone
Then simply cause  they’ve earned their casts
That we turn to cash
Cause we burn the past
when the polymers mold
It’s a wonder the world
doesn’t swallow us whole
While we dig so crude
when we seep it from holes
Fill a barrel so a few can keep the control
So we toil in the soil
and the heat of sunlit glow
I can feel it's angry though
So it would be a glad day
When the worms warm their feet off of my decay
