The man I am Supposed to Be

A Bridge to a distant plane we meet face to face,
Please.. Let me explain,
I was naïve of the man I was supposed to be,
Habitually in retreat.. Almost funny it seems,
Destiny scared me so I left a desk of dreams
The stress of a one man team,
Slowly I back away from the machine killing me,
No more make believe I need to find peace,
As this disease challenges me,
I clear the debris surrounding me,
Pick the weeds and plant some seeds,
Desperately!
I am breathlessly in need!
I can't see the recipe of dreams,
Restlessly I sleep
A lost identity I weep
