Ballad of Frederick Woods

He wished to be like the others,
And he did for a moment, have accomplices,
But very shy, lone wolf, aloof,
He wasn't anybody's fool,
Dressed in a mask of loneliness.

Chorus:

He was an unemotional young man,
Who intended, tended to be, be a minister,
The headlines read,
Controversy and destruction,
Fred Woods alone indicted,
Along with the other two.

Oooh, oooh, Fred Woods.

In the year of seventy-six,
They hid the bus into a ditch,
Or at least there it landed, loaded with kids,
The media had a field day,
They thought they struck it rich.

Oooh, oooh, Fred Woods.

Chorus:

He was an unemotional young man,
Who intended, tended to be, be a minister,
The headlines read,
Controversy and destruction,
Fred Woods alone indicted,
Along with the other two.

Oooh, oooh, Fred Woods.

He must have been,
One of the most stately souls alive,
Up until the kidnapping,
At least seen on the outside,
Then something must have snapped,
His want and his ego then overlapping.

Oooh, oooh, Fred Woods.

Chorus:

He was an unemotional young man,
Who intended, tended to be, be a minister,
The headlines read,
Controversy and destruction,
Fred Woods alone indicted,
Along with the other two.

(GUITAR SOLO)

Chorus:

He was an unemotional young man,
Who intended, tended to be, be a minister,
The headlines read,
Controversy and destruction,
Fred Woods alone indicted,
Along with the other two.
