Dear Anger
Though we've been here before,
I want to let you know,
Enough is enough,
I've decided to let you go.
You take away joy,
Burn bridges between hearts,
Stop shooting at me,
With your poisoned darts.
Light ought to be
Where darkness is now,
Get me through this, God.
Please show me how.
I know I'm partly to blame,
I accept my flaws,
But there are many players in this game
A few friends and many foes.
I promise to try harder,
To strengthen my core
But I need you leave me alone,
Go now and close the door.
Don't look back,
Bitterness lingers for a long time.
I know it won't be forever,
I'm sure you'll reappear from time to time.

If you were fond of this chap then of course it is hard on your emotions. It's weighing up the good & the bad, but you have made your decision now & I believe it to be the right one. x
This isn't about a man. I haven't been hung up on someone for a while now.
This is me doing things I know I shouldn't - allowing myself to be treated like a modern day slave - thinking "it'll work out well in the end" but then things blow up in my face anyway.
(You can do a million good things for people and not be thanked but you'll be remembered for the one thing you didn't do.)
