double-headed pony/ double edged dream

I've had some really weird dreams in my lifetime, but the one I had early this morning takes the cake. It started out with me in a small row boat in the lake in our local park. I was looking into the water at fish swimming under the boat. I saw a very colorful one that was different from every other fish in the lake, different than any I had ever seen in my life. It was swimming in front of my little boat everywhere I went like it was leading me somewhere or just having fun racing me.

I started using my hand to paddle faster, as if my hands were better oars than the oars on the boat. But no matter how fast I paddled, I could catch up to that fish. Finally I gave up. But the fish stopped too and came back, looking up at me, wondering why I stopped. As if it would understand me I said, "I'm tired and I can't swim as fast as you". I reached down and touched it and  just then the multi-colored fish shaped-shifted into a beautiful mermaid. Strangely she had the face of a girl I knew 30 years ago. She said that if I was tired she would give me a ride. So I jumped out of the boat on top of her. She was face up so we were in a very intimate position and I was suddenly no longer wearing close. She warned me not to touch her flower. I'm sure you can imagine where her flower was...

I kept trying to kiss her and she would giggle and dunk her head under water and I got a face full of mucky, green, seaweed ridden water. We floated in the water for a while talking about silly things and I found myself very aroused, wanting to make love to her. She warned me once again not to touch her flower, especially with my manhood. She said, "I am different and you will be badly hurt. I looked to see what she meant and I saw that there were sharp blades protruding from her flower that would indeed do terrible harm to my manhood. And man was I disappointed...
Then an even stranger thing happen. As I lay there on top of her, I saw something swimming beneath her. The lake was rather shallow at that point, so I reached down to touch the creature to see if it was really there or just my imagination. I could not believe my eyes or my hand as I felt what I was seeing. It was a tiny two-headed horse, swimming under water. Not a horse with two heads on its shoulders, but one at each end of its body.
As my fingers touched its head, I was filled with happiness. It was so wonderfully soft and the water did not make its fur wet. It climbed into my hands and smiled as I lifted it out of the lake to hold in my arms. It was like holding a stuffed toy but was alive and warm. It spoke to me without opening its mouth, revealing secrets of their existence under the lake and giving me answers to questions I had been asking my whole life. The pony began choking and told me she needed to go back under water to breathe. I set her on the surface wher she stood for a moment and then dove back under the water, vanishing into the darkness beneath.

The mermaid told me if I wanted, she could be like me but that she would never be able to return home again.
Then I woke up as her lips touched mine and she slipped out of her fin and I found myself alone in my bed wishing I could fall back to sleep forever to be back in her arms...

Perhaps I will dream of her again tonight...
