(Written leading up to my 25th birthday)
 
Just close your eyes

December nights  
And winter skies fill up my mind  
With the strangest dreams  
And I’m dreaming of the dawn  
And I’m waiting for the sun  
 
I try not to cry as I look back on the mistakes in my life  
But still I cry  
I’m not sure why  
Reflections of snowflakes and starlight above  
I’ve got dreams full of heartache but my heart’s full of love  
But there’s no one to hold  
And the nights are getting cold  
 
So I close my eyes  
And give in to 25
