Being Single

Single am I, and what a happy time!
No obligations whilst I am in my prime.
All my attention may be focused upon
My friends, family, and education.

Lust is easily remedied with tools,
And nowadays there are hardly any rules
For that sort of thing, anyway.
Just as long as you do not bray.

Man or woman may pursue you
Or neither,
But there's no reason to glue
Yourself to either.

Single as in individual, not pair;
Freedom to do whatever you care
To do without having to share
In the glamour nor flair!

So why should you date,
Why search out a mate,
When you have all this life
To live? Why entice strife?

Loneliness?
No, 'tis loveliness.
