I enjoyed this because there's a duality in it's interpretation, firstly lover to lover ...
... but it also reminded me of the birth of my daughters, and the endless hope I had for their futures ... And I wondered as a young father would I meet their needs? Would I leave the right impressions?

I'm excited that the haiku reminded you of more than of a poem speaking of lovers.
