Like a Alabama Song

Sitting here under the tree
Dreaming of a girl that's right for me
Something more than just a pretty face
Like faded jeans with a little lace

Someone I can take up town
Or out in the country where the crickets are the only sound
A "Roll On" tee shirt and a bottle of wine
Sippn' on Tennessee whiskey just for a good time

Give me girl like a 69 super sport Chevelle
Style of her own and can raise a little hell
Like a jacked-up mud truck that's turning it on
"take me down and love me all night long"
I want a girl like a Alabama song

All these girls that pass by
Just don't have what it takes to fly
What the hell, ain't waiting on a bus
I want a girl that leaves them all in the dust

They say you got to pick one that touches the sky
It's hard to see with the sun in my eye
Like lookin' for an apple in a cherry pie
A girl that likes to rock it, but just a little shy

Give me girl like a 69 super sport Chevelle
Style of her own and can raise a little hell
Like a jacked-up mud truck that's turning it on
"take me down and love me all night long"
I want a girl like a Alabama song
