field of daisies

It's six am I'm waking up from night
Sitting at the kitchen table
Thought I'd never see the light
With nothing else to do
But stare at a bowl of fortunes that never came true

I'm here and you're home
I hate we're both alone
I'll hope for the best
Say happy anniversary over the phone
And wonder if this job is worth all the stress

You're my rose in a field of daisies
After all these years you still drive me crazy
Never want to let you go, always want you to know
You're my everything

Our love is how I survive
Sometimes it's hard to feel alive
All I ever wanted, was to be your knight
Is my armor still bright

So much sand has ran through the glass
It seems we're always chasing the past
No matter where I roam, I never feel alone
Your heart will always be my home

You're my rose in a field of daisies
After all these years you still drive me crazy
Never want to let you go, always want you to know
You're my everything
You're my everything
