Rainy day in july
Kings and queens are out today
the cousins and sons to play
the leaves change colors
the children are all gay
Colors fade in like a rainbow
and how'd we twist that so much
how did we change the touch
Its like a cold rainy day
its like july, when july's grey
its like a rainy day, rainy day in july
People who carry feelings on shoulders
heavy like a raindrops in july
drawing a line in the air
i set down and broke my chair
i felt like a rainy day in july
Smoke is climbing in
her old cars got a nice ring
sons playing with playdough
and watching the same shows
just remember what i said
when i said you'll be common
like you wanted to be
horses left the stable
overturned the kitchen table
and life goes on like a sunny day
a sunny day in December
and we remember a rainy day in july
people who cry on strange shoulders
heavy like raindrops in july
filling it up, smoke in the air
feeling we're treated so unfair
i felt like a rainy day in july.
the cousins and sons to play
the leaves change colors
the children are all gay
Colors fade in like a rainbow
and how'd we twist that so much
how did we change the touch
Its like a cold rainy day
its like july, when july's grey
its like a rainy day, rainy day in july
