There are many meanings
For the word "Mark"
"A visible indication,"
Like the way you scrawled
yourself upon my heart
I cannot think straight
"The impression created
by doing something unusual or extraordinary
That people notice and remember,"
Your very words seduce me
Setting me aflame
Allow me to burn to ash in your arms
"A number or letter indicating quality"
An A+ for perceiving my needs
Number one individual to whom
I flee to with my impulsion
"A symbol of disgrace or infamy"
You abiding so close
To the depths of my vitality
Always there - my touch to receive
"A written or printed symbol"
The period of my existence
The Question mark of my mind
The exclamation point of my desires
"A perceptible indication
Of something not immediately apparent"
You ensnared my very nature
Shining brightly at my core
My multi-verse a better place with you in it.
"A reference point to shoot at"
Eros' arrows slammed into my being
Carving your niche  inside
My entirety a bulls-eye for your love
"A distinguishing symbol"
You've become the one in my life
Selected me as yours
Branded for all eternity
"Designate as if by a mark"
Set your seal upon my heart
Your lips upon my body
Your soul within my soul
"Mark by some ceremony or observation"
Vows of devotion in the dark
Voices whispering sweet melodies
Bodies married in bliss
"A person who is gullible
And easy to take advantage of"
Nervous gestures through prose
Found indeed true heaven
No desire to hurt - but to protect
"Notice or perceive"
I salute all that you do
Observe all you have accomplished
Worship your every move
There are many other ways to define
This word we hear so often
But my favorite way this word's defined
Is the way it graces you
I whisper it in your ear
Call it out in a nightmare
Scream it in my steamy dreams
Waking up wet in the morning
The best way of all,
To say this and be true
Is simply looking into your eyes
And saying, "Mark, I love you."
