people are wary all over the place. not just your city. i've been on the receiving end of very nice comments and some very not so nice comments.

Well, you get the girls that believe objectification is a terrible insult, when in fact, everyone is objectified in one way or the other.  It's a ridiculous, oversensitive world at times.

Yeah I agree it depends on how its said.. "Hey sexy" is taken as a predator trying to feed. I hate it when strangers yell "Smile," oh my favorite! ten years ago when I was 21 and hot lol I had a guy with bass in his car and tinted windows pull up to me in my apartment complex while I was taken out my trash and a few feet from my apt. saying " hey sexy what you doing? hey! come here!" lol that don't work ether.. I don't like whistling or grabbing.. but I think if you simply smile at a woman and say hi you will at least get a hi back lol

the way we've been trained by people in the public and told by adults over and over again once we hit puberty is all guys come cause they want something from you that you may not want to give. men you don't know just don't wine and dine you unless they want something from you! no man should want to do amazing things for you when your only dating, and if they do its because they are hiding their dark secrets.. and in my experiences allot of this is true! so I'm guessing your a good guy, so don't take it personal that's just how we're brought up to be! even experts say, "don't give to much to fast or else you wont enchant the man you want and you will die old and single lol... and allot of women feel, that if we simply just be nice to a guy in public that's talking with us they will think we want to have sex with them.. so not being so friendly in public with men we don't know is also a way we protect ourselves! sorry to tell you the ugly truth lol

I think you're right about everything you're saying.

Which is why I'm usually hesitant to say anything even if I'm really taken with someone look. It kinda sucks
