this night

hey empty glass i'm glad we meet again.
you seem so clear i see right through you what happened man?
don't worry i'll fill you up then we can make a plan.
soon this night will come alive when the moments right.
bottoms up all i see is this drink in sight.
i'm feeling woozy i'm feeling light.
i'm feeling a rage inside.
as soon as i get my fill i'm quite alright.
trying to write on paper has never been more hard.
it seems the paper and pencil are miles apart.
i can't scratch a single word.
so i doodle instead i try so hard but what i get is dead.
in my struggle so real i'm grasping for a sound.
but i can see i'm alone at the moment non of these "friends" are around.
so what in my moments of despair and the glory of destruction.
i get off the floor re-born like a phoenix.
i run to the restroom from my mouth i expel the demons.
my mind is telling me your pathetic and i believe 'em.
seeing i stooped low and getting this overwhelming urge.
i still see my old death from the past that changed my future.
images of me grabbing the wire as electricity surged through my body stopping my heart and no body helped me.
i woke up in the hospital they look at me in horror and said it was astonishing.
well guess whos back from the dead now i know death can't stop me.
i'm going to rise from the ground and live my life clean.
since i've seen death on my knees.
i'm taking this second chance and i'm gonna leave it to these.
