"Awakening"

Rising early for the occasion, opportunity awaits
To wake her gently, John Legend softly plays
Rhythm, fingertips lightly brush, skip, graze
Delicate, cherished cashmere alabaster I retrace

Her neck, shoulders, back and hips receive
Full attention, feathery massage, pleasing each
And every touch, changes, breaths interweave
Shallow sighs, legs slowly pedal, she perceives

Caring, in equal measure, she knows I can't resist
Intention clearly conveyed, the wake-up call we both so missed
Giving, sharing, receiving, enjoying, knowing this is
Dawn, as it should be, long before the, 'good morning kiss'
