Finding Myself

Growing to learn and learning to grow is what I'm going through right now.
Moving on has been the norm for me and it's time for me to make a change within myself.
I've felt the pain and loss of those I've lost and
I've felt the hatred and discontent of those I've never really cared for.
I don't need your consent to tell me what to do and how to do it,
I'm going to do something I will do it,
If I say I'm going to do something I will do it.
I don't need your permission to tell me how to live my life when I don't live for you,
Just be concerned about you, I can do what I want to.

Within myself I've found that I'm not so home bound,
I want to drive away and I want to go,
I want to be a part of something that I don't know yet and if you dare try to stop me I might explode.
This is not me necessarily pleading and begging for you to leave me alone, but simply to just let me live my life the way I want to.
I need to make mistakes to learn who I am,
But I don't want everyone to be so damn overprotective.
