All things go by once
Yet I could re-start
I’d let things out
And get what I want...
What a life it would be...
What a mind I would have...
I’d be ready to Go...
Having already gone.
If only I could go uncaught
All things in the light
Yet I could slip past
I’d watch things drop

What a night I would have...

If only I could stop the clock
All things to a halt
Yet I could still walk
I’d lift things off

Dude this is awesome man.
Despite of how it sounds so depressing, it sounded like
Something in the way by nirvana.
To me it's about someone's dreams fading away or they never achieved their dreams in a sense that it became a goal and they reached it.

Good eye, good ear! The original guitar for this was Nirvanaesque, and I was definitely aiming for that feel...
I was actually thinking the other day that my other "You'll Never Hear Surf Music Again" song posted beside this one, that I should have rewritten the line "Death is a phase..." to "Life is a phase...", as that sounds far more surfish, something a stunned out surf dude would be more likely to say...
But alas, the original was written as thus, the depression and torture shall remain, and shalt not be changed!
