Bill Cosby Himself

In my recent post,"Bill Cosby's Accusers",I gave my opinion of what might have motivated their accusations. Here I intend to look at Bill Cosby himself.

It is obvious from the alleged charges his accusers have brought against him, that Cosby never set out to intentionally harm them in any way, though the instances of drugging them, if true, are admittedly reprehensible.

He was not a woman-beater.

He was not a sadist.

He was not a sexual criminal.

He was not even a sexual briber, telling them they could have this or that job or position, if they just complied with his sexual desires.

Furthermore, from what I can deduce from their stories, these women were sexually attracted to Cosby, either subliminally or openly. Perhaps this was what caused him to think he could give free rein to his sexual urges with impunity.

It is a fact that non-consensual sex is nature's first and foremost way to assure reproduction of the species. But if practiced in civilized societies it can become a big problem: either in a petty sense (what I feel is the issue in Cosby's case, except for possible psychological damage done to the women) or ramify into larger societal or criminal areas.

In Cosby's situation we are not dealing with a sexual predator, but with,I submit,a sexual innocent--give or take some minor adjustments on that designation.
