You're Still

sitting in silent darkness as I often do
tonight seemed different in some strange way
one lonely tear drop rolled down my cheek

my cold lips turned warm with its touch
tongue hungered for a taste
just one swift lick is all it took

could feel warmness like I swallowed heat
run down my throat, slide thru pumping veins
slithered deep in my heart, nestled in its coldness

never before has a tear felt this way
closed my eyes and the answer appeared
you're still the warmness this stone heart feels
