physical pain

Just a normal day
Or so she thought
She was in her room not making a sound
Waiting for her mom to come home
The girl burned herself with boiling water
Her mom was going to help her
She hears her little sister comes through the door
“is mom home?” she yells downstairs
“no!” they yell back upstairs
The girl runs downstairs
doesn’t know what’s going on
Confused why her mom’s not home
She asks her dad where is she
He makes a smart remark
“probably still across the street”
The girl runs outside
Her mom’s car not there
Her mom finally gets home
As the girl was going to ask her mom’s help
Her mom is yelling at her dad
The girl was a daddy’s girl so she was slightly angry
Her father screams back at her mother
The girl knew
she wasn’t going to get any help
The girl was used to emotional pain
What’s physical pain going to do
The girl wants to cry with the physical pain she is in
But she doesn’t
She just takes it like it never happened and goes on
