in lisping despair'ation eye took
the plain,dainty panty
burrowed
borrowed,
from the maiden-of-mydreams
("yr Honor, twas merely a dream you
see when you see in a dream!"),
and
thus did wrap it tight about me head,
cov'rin' my'my eyes
wit it's silken absence of warmth(flesh'o'th'Nymph)
thee onliest Way eye's e'er brush a touch
of heaven vague rem'berd....& all
that slipped a'way,
too shy &wimperin
to intervene
me love unto yOurs

'absence of warmth' is an exact defining. there is sadness in the activity, holding so close the treasured material. & there is romance here...

apologies, the perversion, ala intrusion/subversion of your genuine loss and longing, is all mine dada, twas and is a really poignant poem i had to warp to bare it's baring as a defense really i think in retrospect because it cuts so deep, and does each time i read it which i have in tears in truth, with respect
