Work

When asked about work, a lot of people complain
But I enjoy work, please allow me to explain

When we go to work, we travel quite a ways
My job is not too far, it's as close as the nearest star
I start out the morning, eating a breakfast that's fit
Cause at work all I do is sit, sit and s#it

At work, there's the man with the smirk
He's a bit of a jerk
He yells and tells us to do field work
Then he sits and straightens his shirt

Job satisfaction is all about what we do
And my job is simple, I sort screws
People think that's easy as can be
But boss keeps me in the dark, so I can't see

You may wonder, if I like work,
Do I enjoy pain?
Like Shania Twain
I enjoy change.
Change your mind after an hour, "I like new work".
Change direction and scrape previous efforts, "No pain, no gain".
No expectations or metrics, then complain, "Nice perks".
I like it that way!!

But one thing I can't figure out is the pay at the end
Somehow it seems to always be about what I spend
