The Baby Screams and Screams

The baby screams and screams
In metre unperceived by her mother,
The baby is really saying inside,

"Why have you brought me here?
Why have you forced me into form?
Why have you taught me inadequate motion?

Why did you pluck me from the Cloud?
Do you not see I am worse off now
Than I was in my feathered nest Before?”

And so the mother shakes bright colour distraction
Of white sugar addiction to quiet her little nuisance,
To get back quickly to the plot of reality episode
Blaring its deadly language from the screen,
The plastic clouds of silicate heaven...

And now I’m locked into tangled-wire flesh
In these plastic clouds of silicate heaven.
In the thunders of electricity,
I am crucified in this complexity...
