Paradox

Is a paradox a paradox,
If the unstoppable force,
Is the immoveable objects power source?

Verse 1:

In this world things aren't what they seem,
Reality and dreams they break at the seams,
And seamlessly blend into a movie scene,
Characters never say exactly what they mean,

Plot twists between lonely monologues,
Interspersed with love sick dialogue,
Catalogued by a fate that leaves you thinking,
Is this for real, or have I been drinking?

Nobodies plot is ever simplistic,
But mine seems unusually antagonistic,
Opposing good change to lead me off track,
Any chance I can turn the clock back?

To a certain extent, fate is real,
You can try to control the way that you feel,
And how you feel, can change a lot,
It can change the way you write your own plot,

A lot of my problems are self inflicted,
There's probably more but I just can't see it,
Over-thinking things can make them seem worse,
And that's the real meaning of this here verse,

Chorus:

Panic leads to more negative thoughts,
Which hinder your unstoppable force,
By over-thinking everything sour,
You give the immovable object power.

And power leads to lack of action,
Without will this has no traction,
But try to calm your mind a fraction,
And find your mental satisfaction.

Is a rich man, really richer than a poor man?

Verse 2:

Tell me can you explain financial gain?
Is it just to bump you up the chain,
Was your life before just that plain,
That you needed cash to excite your brain,

Your real riches can be found inside,
However much you may try to hide,
Behind those pounds and power sounds,
As private jets take off the ground,

If you judge a rich mans characteristics,
You could call them societal chauvinistics,
But maybe that's a poor mans view,
With acute jealously shining through,

You always want what you can't acquire,
And yes that can make your spirit tire,
But half the thrill is in the chase,
You might not find a greener place,

And those blessed with financial gain,
Can quite simply choose to stay the same,
Cos money needn't change who you are,
Even if it buys you a fancy car,

Possessions are 90% of the law,
But that 10% can mean so much more,
You can be rich in bank and rich in soul,
If you keep it all under control.

Chorus:

Panic leads to more negative thoughts,
Which hinder your unstoppable force,
By over-thinking everything sour,
You give the immovable object power.

And power leads to lack of action,
Without will this has no traction,
But try to calm your mind a fraction,
And find your mental satisfaction.

Verse 3:

Deep down you're so shallow true,
If it's true for me then it is for you.
Personalities personally most important,
But deep down our shallowness lies dormant,

To start the process attractions key,
You've simply gotta like what you see,
Maybe you'll see their inner beauty,
If you make an open mind your duty,

The message of this paradox is,
You'll never see inside boxes,
If you don't lift the lid and say to yourself,
I'll put my uncertainties on the shelf.

Chorus:

Panic leads to more negative thoughts,
Which hinder your unstoppable force,
By over-thinking everything sour,
You give the immovable object power.

And power leads to lack of action,
Without will this has no traction,
But try to calm your mind a fraction,
And find your mental satisfaction.
(x2)

Clap your hands, get off your seat,
This last paradox is bitter-sweet.
