You Were Everywhere

And now as I choke on the bitter toke,
And enter the threatening stare...
And though I be locked into the stickening drop,
I know You will catch me in time...
Because there at the edge at the very end,
Into the inwardly skies...
I will remember to look all around,
And see You were everywhere...
And though I am stopped at the sudden start,
I’m never prepared anyways...
And though it’s the fault, everything’s running out,
There’s no way to hurry it now...
And if I may shiver in the emptiness,
It isn’t the thirst anymore...
And if I may question the lack of direction,
It isn’t the breath anymore...
And if I may add up everything’s now wrong,
It isn’t the past anymore...
Because then I will see the very simplicity,
If life could be what you believe in...
But then I would see the very futility,
If there’s nothing left to hold onto...
And then I would know that it’ s time to go,
And never come back here again...
And then I would learn just how to say goodbye,
And never look back here again...
Because then I would see how we were meant to Be,
Forever, endlessly...

The author encourages honest critique.
I was thinking of putting this into the Drugs Poems category, but it is indeed lyricy, and does come with accompanied guitar. The link is to soundcloud.com at the top. During this phase of my writings (2009-2012) I also wrote and recorded dozens of songs and hundreds of concept things (such as the Nightstream Jam series posted earlier). I will now focus over the next week or so on some of these songs and post them here to DU, with the audio track posted to soundcloud.
I also realized that I totally forgot it was 4:20 the other day, I should have posted THIS on Sunday, and totally ignored Easter and Churches... Such sacrilege on my part, I know...
Oh well, 4:20 wasn't a part of my generation so I'm kinda' excused... I did post it on 4:22 though... I'm certain more than a few adherents who began their celebrations on 4:20, are still going at it and do not yet realize that it is 4:22 outside!
As for my music and recording style. I just basically do quick one-take recordings. I'm not concerned with augmenting my raindrops of sound into the oceans of professional music already tiding over the planet. I just don't have the time and aptitude. My enjoyment is in the creativity, and just producing more and more ideas and words - as opposed to sticking to a few things, reworking them over and over into a neat and tidy package.
My guitar style for worded songs is very basic - just a simple repetitive strum - I'm only interested in getting lost in the poetry of the words, in getting lost in the streams of consciousness, not the horrendous chore-like complexity of difficult fretboard work. That is too much of a wake-up back to reality and a killing of the trance I'm after. So in this regard I only play music selfishly for my own relaxation and teleportation! Many apologies.
I thought about it the other day, that my audio work could be compared to simple graphite pencil sketches of art, and all the professional music that is out there to being great oil-painting masterpieces. You obviously can't put the two kinds of mediums on the same wall in the Art Gallery (unless it's some funky hip urban gallery run by nutty Art Grads, purposefully doing it). I mean a pencil sketch can certainly be Artful, but just can't be in the same league as the heroic masterpieces.
