Reminding yourself that you're not worthless.
Reminding yourself that they don't think you are a pile of offal.
Reminding yourself to take care of yourself.
Reminding yourself to pay attention to others.
Reminding yourself that they didn't mean what you heard.
Reminding yourself to go where you need to.
Reminding yourself to understand they aren't you and believe and act as you do.
Reminding yourself unclench your muscles.
Reminding yourself that they aren't trying to hurt you.

Flux
Circle, spiral, down the hole,
No one knows which way I’ll go,
One moment happy, the next one sad,
Speaking softly, don’t make me mad,
Go away, no come back here!
Can’t escape this inborn fear,
Mind’s a jumble, heart's a mess,
Rip the emotions from my chest.
Creepy actions, reap what you sow,
Is this the person that you know?
When the mask is ripped away,
Another one comes out to play.
Bare it all with written word,
Not a bit is really heard,
Trapped inside my whirling mind,
Serving the contract unwittingly signed, ...

Within Dreams of You
Shall I tell you of the many things I have seen
Have viewed within my dreams of you?
The wealth of emotion shaping fantastic scenes
Your presence bringing each to vivid life
Drawing me past the limits of my imagination
Further down the rabbit hole of your own.
Melding your desires with those of mine
Each sinfully sweet moment spent in darkened joy
Flow into a shadowed room, circular with a canopied bed
I’m shackled to posts made of in-scripted yet solid oak
Blindfold dimming my sight, voice caressing your ears

Sleeping Sweet
Now I lay me down to rest
Place your head upon my breast
Very little thrills me more
Than our clothes upon the floor
Every night to feel you thus
Naught but air betwixt us
Have you snuggled in my arms
Safe from any perceived harms
Murmured words softly in sleep
I swear to you I'll always keep
You wrapped up in me so tight
In the darkness or in the light
Slip my fingers through your fur
Time flies by in slumbered blur
Tender kisses shared unknown
What we have has only grown
Watch your face in sweet repose ...

I See You
To describe the hue of your eyes provided me a distinct challenge,
I answered you with a speed to cover,
The cacophony that blasted through my mind.
Your eyes, my dearest, could never,
Be expressed as a mere blue.
The colors shift through the opalescent,
Silver of those splendorous orbs,
Red of the passions yet to be expressed,
In more than a turn of phrase,
The envy of a person living a life,
Of ease and bliss passes in green,
Deep hurt hidden within an appearance,
As electric blue as any sky and hard as ice,
The black that...

Smell of alcohol wafts past the nose
Low lighting, Boisterous laughter
Music pouring from the speakers
Set the body afire
Slinking through the room
Head to the dance floor
Lose myself to the hypnotic beat

Eyes closed, head back, feet moving
For once the press of humanity
Not a crush on my tormented mind

I once walked through life
Alone though surrounded
Untouched but taken
Loved yet ignored
What a lonely path to walk
Heart slowly decaying
Pain like shards of bone
Splintered and scattered inside
Hide the agony with smiles
Let the affront go without challenge
Avoid confrontation today
Our "love" secure until tomorrow

Oh, Within
Oh, peasant in a noble's world
You stand so low and sunken
Shuffling through hard life you go
Feeling the haughty stares of privilege
Fighting to survive one more day in darkness
Oh, serf in a Lord's lands
Bow and scraping existence
Wring your hands and pay your tithe
Ne'er a kind word for your troubles
Giving your best for his worst in return
Oh, child on an adult's highway
Fall in place and toe the line
Total obedience a price of youth
Expectations piled at your tiny feet
Mental breakdown before you've grown

Savor every moment
Lace gripping curves
Nothing on beneath
Soft yet deliciously irritating
Smoothing on the fishnets
Securing every curl
Dressed for a sweet night
Of fantasies fulfilled
In comes my lover
Surprised desire evident
Hands outstretched to touch
Playfully slapped away
Posing provocatively before him
Green eyes lit with delight
Undressing him first with my eyes

Alone in a crowded room
Seen and heard but ignored
Hateful whispers in my head
Always be a third wheel
To be chosen second is fate
Wrestling with self identity
Don't be too loud

Play me like an instrument
Set me to vibrating
Under your masterful fingers
Hum rises from within
Touch drifting, stroking
The chord you touch
Resonates with your own
My soul sings your praises
As you make my body pulse
Playing the beat of my heart
Like a simple snare drum
Tattoo of ecstasy
Keening joins in
Moans and groans
In perfect harmony
With the way you say my name
Thundering tempo
As you draw me
to my crescendo
Shattering melodies
Soft strains of contentment
